Expo Design

The design for each expo is a competitive process. Seniors in both sections submit individual designs and both classes vote on the most successful one for marketing the event. Posters, postcards and social media ads are created with the chosen design. This year, Eli Monjaras's design won the competition.

Eli Monjaras

My name is Eli Monjaras. I had the privileged to come to Farmingdale State College and be in the Visual Communications: Graphic Design program. I met wonderful professors that encouraged and pushed me to become the designer I am today. Through their constructive criticism and discipline, I was only able to help others with their design needs. The friends I met are unforgettable and I truly built lasting friendships.

Farmingdale was one of my dream schools that I wanted to attend. I did not have any finances, and being a first-generation immigrant from El Salvador I thought it would have been impossible to even come to college. I realized that through hard work, dedication, perseverance, and especially God and His grace I was able to accomplish what I thought impossible.

Looking back at my freshman year when I first heard of the Senior Project Expo I became excited and filled with emotion because I couldn't wait to do it. I actually remember telling my friend that I wanted to win the poster design contest; now I have. The privileged and blessings that I have been given are truly amazing, and I am so grateful to be part of this year's Senior Exposition.

To everyone who has supported me, I thank you, and for those who are on the journey of design with me I say; never stop being a student, learning, and becoming the best version of yourself.
